José Elcias Martinez - Caturra

We are happy to have the opportunity to present 2 different coffees from the same farm, El Casino.

José Elcias Martinez grew up in a coffee farming family. Though he left home to work all around Colombia as a bus driver, he eventually came back to his roots and bought El Casino. José and his wife Fancy are now managing the 10 hectare farm. Among which, 5 hectares are planted with Caturra, Pink Bourbon, Geisha, and Tabi.

As well as taking care of the farm, José and Francy also rescue dogs and have about 15 dogs hanging on the farm! 

We were lucky to have Osito team and José visiting us in May as we just received his coffee. At Even we are happy to roast and serve both his Caturra and Pink Bourbon. We are now ready to introduce those 2 coffees that we particularly enjoy.

We purchased the Caturra to be used on espresso, but it can be brewed as both filter and a light espresso.
