Born out of a passion for specialty coffee and product development, Sibarist’s goal is to learn, share and create unique and pioneering solutions that enable the most demanding users to experiment, discover, enjoy and achieve extraordinary results.

Their line of filters is divided between two categories: Fast and B3. Each of these categories are based on different paper composition and come in a variety of shapes. 

Fast is made out of Abacá plant fibre, the strongest natural plant fibre. This allows for a thinner paper with the same structural integrity as other thicker paper filters with a fast flow rate and a shorter drawdown time. We recommend those filters for high-density beans (like Ethiopian or some washed Colombian coffees) that tend to have a slower flow, or for highly-processed coffees that benefit from a shorter contact time. The result is a clean cup, with a tea-like body.

B3 is made out of a mix of pine tree and eucalyptus fibers for a denser and thicker paper composition. The flow rate of the B3 is slower than the Fast, and its drawdown time is a bit longer. We recommend this filter for any coffee that doesn’t have an issue of slow flow as it offers much more clarity in the cup, as well as a deeper sweetness and an enhanced body.

The Flat filters come flat in the box, and are meant to be folded before use in the Orea O1 dripper. Once folded and properly in place, they stick to the inner wall of the dripper and create a seal avoiding water by-pass. The result is a sweeter cup and a thicker, rounder body. To properly fit those filters in place, it is recommended to use the Orea NEO Negotiator tool.

The Sibarist Flat size S is compatible with the Orea O1 dripper only. Each pack contains 100 filters.
